Sock practice

I'm honing my skills for SOCK WARS by knitting the Yarrow Socks from Vintage Socks. I got bored with the ribbing so they are only 5 1/2 inches before the heel turn. I don't mind if my feet look a bit dorky. The yarn is a handpainted sock yarn from Cherry Tree Hill and has little shiny specks that don't show up in the photograph.

Love the socks. I've cut my socks a bit short at times. I call them ankle socks. Everyone needs a little variety in the sock drawer:D

Hey Cate-what's the deal with Sock Wars? I looked it up, and found the button, but I can't find the explanatory text?

Hi, great socks! I'm working on Baudelaire as a warm up project - plus it's another knit along as well.... two birds with one stone so to speak!

Actually, it's three birds, since there is that nice sock a month 2 knit along as well. Not bad!

You have some beautiful hounds, it's nice to see another knitter who owns sighthounds.

Have a look at my blog, you'll see pics of my two Borzois as well as find out about my knitting.

Take care and greetings from sunny Spain..

Those socks are looking good. I love that you don't mind looking dorky. Me neither.
